The Prime 130 S was one of the better medium volume ski boots of the previous season. For this season there are only color updates including some small (non-visible) improvements added. Despite its stiff 130 flex they are super easy and comfortable to put on. This can sometimes be very different in this class. In terms of fit the Hawx prime 130 S is similar to the Lange RX 130 . The 130 S has a progressive flex and that is very nice for a stiff ski boot. Skiers coming from a racing boot will find the flex a bit too soft. But believe us you really have to be a good skier to handle the 130 flex.
The Atomic Hawx Prime 130 S is now in its second season, so we have already gained a lot of experience with the fit. In the heel area, the Prime S is slimmer than its predecessor. In addition, the shaft exit is somewhat wider, which means that the Prime S is not suitable for narrow calves. No, on the contrary, you should have somewhat fuller calves. The Prime S is also less wide than its predecessor. That is why we often had to adjust it slightly at the forefoot zone. On the other hand, it is somewhat higher and better shaped on the instep. So in short, the Prime series is suitable for a medium foot with a medium/higher instep and you should have a somewhat fuller calf.
